Protect Vaccine Choice in Kentucky

The Kentucky legislature is considering a number of bills to promote vaccine choice. HB 36 will prohibit required immunization of any person by any state agency or instrumentality. SB 98 prohibits employers from discriminating against employees who refuse vaccines. SB 28 provides conscientious belief exemptions to mandatory vaccination, including during an epidemic. SB 37 prohibits required immunization of any person by any state agency or instrumentality and creates a new section of KRS Chapter 338 to prohibit employers from requiring employee immunization.

Patients have a right to make their own decisions about treatments for based on informed consent. Limiting a patient’s ability to make informed decisions about what gets put into their body violates medical ethics.

Write to your representative and urge him or her to support HB 36, SB 98, SB 28, and SB 37.
