Protect Vaccine Choice in Florida

The Florida legislature is considering a bill, HB 6003, that would remove the State Health Officer's ability to force vaccination during a declared public health emergency. HB 364 would prevent discrimination based on and individual's vaccination or status of immunity.

Another bill, SB 1936, eliminates religious belief exemptions for public & private school, requires review of medical exemptions.

We must not lose our freedom to make informed choices about vaccines. Contact your state legislators and tell them to protect vaccine choice!

I understand a bill has been introduced, HB 6003, that would remove the State Health Officer's ability to force vaccination during a declared public health emergency. HB 364 would prevent discrimination based on and individual's vaccination or status of immunity.

This is an important step. Parents have a right to make their own decisions about treatments for their children based on informed consent. Limiting a patient's ability to make informed decisions about what gets put into his or her body violates medical ethics.

The newly-approved COVID vaccines are not without risk. Severe allergic reactions have been reported at alarming rates, putting autoimmune patients at real risk; there are also signs of danger for pregnant women. The UK has not recommended that pregnant women receive the vaccine, yet the CDC refuses to follow this basic precautionary step.

It violates medical ethics to mandate a vaccine for which the public has not been given full transparency. Pfizer and Moderna have not made all of the data from their trials available to be independently reviewed, meaning we don't yet know the real risk/benefit of taking the vaccine, making it impossible for patients to decide for themselves what level of risk they are willing to tolerate.

Please support HB 6003 and HB 364. Additionally, please oppose SB 1936, which eliminates religious belief exemptions for public & private school, requires review of medical exemptions.
