Keep 5G Out of National Parks!

In Walden, Henry David Thoreau extols the virtues of escaping to nature to experience the simplicity, quiet and reduced stress of getting away from the frenetic world. Much research supports the health benefits of spending time in nature—improved immune function, reduced stress, lower blood pressure and reduced exposures to toxins, including electromagnetic radiation.

Those benefits are currently being undermined. A new program aims to install 5G in US national parks, despite the myriad health dangers that have been associated with 5G.

Write to the National Park Service and Congress, telling them to discontinue this program.

Please keep 5G out of national parks

A new program aims to install 5G in US national parks. I call upon Congress and the National Parks Service to reverse this program to protect our parks and public health.

We know about the dangers of electromagnetic radiation, which include  altered metabolism, cancer, cardiovascular disease, DNA damage, impaired sperm function, cognitive impairment, neurological damage, and many more. Consider this evidence:

*Israeli researchers found that our sweat ducts act as antennas for millimeter waves, meaning we would absorb more of this energy into our bodies. 
*Millimeter wavelengths are also used in crowd control systems, making people caught in the high-powered millimeter wave feel like their skin is on fire.
*A group of hundreds of scientists from around the world recently sent a letter to the United Nations and the World Health Organization warning of "serious concerns regarding the ubiquitous and increasing exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated by electric and wireless devices." The scientists explain that EMF "affects living organisms at levels well below most international guidelines," causing increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in free radicals, genetic damage, changes to the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, and neurological disorders.

We also know that it is becoming increasingly difficult to escape this exposure as 5G networks are proliferating in residential neighborhoods, rural communities, schools and other public facilities and now, apparently, the wilderness.

So far nine parks, including the south rim of the Grand Canyon, have had networks installed, with several sites being added every week. By the end of 2021 hundreds of national parks will have 5G networks.

Because prolonged exposure increases health risks, being able to escape from the constant bombardment is essential to our health. Please keep 5G out of national parks.
