Strengthen Vaccine Passport Ban!

As more Americans get vaccinated against COVID-19, and vaccination recommendations extend to younger and younger Americans, we are starting to see more efforts to require vaccination as a condition of receiving services, as we’ve seen at American universities. This endangers autoimmune patients who are more at risk of serious adverse events following COVID vaccination. States can take a stand for medical freedom and privacy rights.

A number of states have issued bans on vaccine passports in state institutions, but have not extended the ban to private businesses. Write to your state government and thank them for taking action to restrict vaccine passports, but to extend the ban to businesses within the state.

I'm writing to express my appreciation for actions taken to ban the use of vaccine passports by state institutions, but urge lawmakers to extend this ban to businesses within the state as well.

All Americans should have the ability to navigate, participate, and function in society without being required to undergo an experimental medical procedure as a condition of that engagement.

Requiring COVID vaccinations for a broad range of activities is a discriminatory practice that puts some patients at risk. For example, there is evidence showing that tens of millions of people with autoimmune conditions--or with a genetic predisposition to autoimmunity--are at increased risk for serious illness from COVID vaccines. Medical experts believe that the dangerous blood clotting events we've heard about are in fact an autoimmune reaction to the vaccine, meaning patients with pre-existing autoimmunity or a genetic predisposition to autoimmunity could be at increased risk of these adverse events.

These patients should not be coerced into getting vaccinated when they have a legitimate medical concern.

Thank you for taking a stand for freedom and personal choice by banning vaccine passports in state institutions, but please extend the ban to prevent businesses from requiring proof of vaccination for services, as has been done in Florida and Montana.
